Some interesting facts about Pilates 1) Joseph Pilates the inventor intended Pilates to be about the art of control, an exercise method where you control your body, mind & muscles hence the original name 'Contrology' 2) The moves he designed focus on core muscles, abs, pelvic floor, lower back & proper alignment of the spine. 3) Breath with movement is the key. Pilates involves slow continuous movement with proper breathing. This is both mentally & physically invigorating. 4) Pilates is for everyone. You don't have to be super fit & flexible.
